Our New Playground
Our school's playground is in poor condition and no longer meets the play-based learning and developmental needs of our CPS children.
Over 25 years old, the playground has old, broken and missing equipment, which also creates a safety risk.
Play is such a big part of learning at primary school. It helps children learn about the world and themselves, building their cognitive, physical, social, and emotional well-being. We believe every child in our community deserves the right to play!
As a P&C, we want to ensure that every child at CPS gets the benefits of free play through a strategically-designed playground that caters to all our children from kindy to year 6.

Playground Snapshot
The new CPS playground design has been created by specialist playground architects to be an inclusive, innovative, fun and safe space for all 600+ children kindy to year 6 to enjoy. It will be the heart of the school.

The playground will consist of:
-
A three-cube tower (the playground 'hero')
-
A cubby building
-
A multisports court
-
Timber decking
-
An embankment slide
-
An overhead net tunnel
-
A track ride
-
Nature play
-
Monkey bars

How you can help
Let's build our playground, brick by brick!

Thank you to all our generous CPS families and grandparents who have donated a brick to the playground. Stage One is on track to be completed and ready for play this term!

There is still work to be done and the P&C has a challenging fundraising target for Stage 2 of the playground build (including the Cube Tower) to complete this important project and give all our children the benefits of play.
Please join us in making a difference for our children. Every donation will help. and no amount is too big or small.

You can purchase your own family brick to support the playground build for $490 or donate any amount. Donations of $100 or more get your family’s name on the playground donor wall).
